Our client is a prominent organization in the logistics and connectivity sector, recognized for its modern and efficient operations and its crucial role in facilitating connections across the region. The organization serves as a vital hub, reinforcing the region’s leadership in logistics and seamless connectivity.

As part of its ambitious strategic growth and financial development initiatives, the organization is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy and operations while ensuring alignment with its sustainability and operational excellence objectives.

Position

Reporting directly to the CEO you will be an integral member of the Executive Committee; your main responsibilities will notably include:

  • Develop and execute financial and investment strategies to support the organization’s growth and operational objectives.
  • Manage and monitor financial planning, annual and semi-annual budgets (and investment plans).
  • Lead the design and implementation of debt restructuring strategies to optimize financial health and strengthen the organization’s fiscal position.
  • Oversee financing plans for major infrastructure development projects.
  • Maintain cash flow monitoring practices to safeguard liquidity and financial stability.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, investors, and government ministries, ensuring compliance with EU regulations and financial transparency.
  • Guide and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
  • Ensure adherence to local and EU regulatory frameworks while managing relationships with external auditors and financial oversight bodies.

Profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in an industrial environment, logistics sectors, or investment banking.
  • You have strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder engagements.
  • You have a proven track record in debt restructuring, project financing, and managing large-scale capital expenditure programs.
  • You are familiar with Luxembourg’s governmental financial frameworks and regulations.
  • You hold an expertise in SAP or equivalent financial systems.
  • You are known for your collaborative, humble, and team-oriented approach.
  • Multilingual fluency: English is essential; proficiency in French, German, and Luxembourgish is highly advantageous.
