Junior Accountant (m/f)
Company
Our client is a real estate investment firm with a strong focus on strategic opportunities across Western Europe. They are looking for a Junior Accountant who is proactive, possesses strong analytical skills, and is willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position
- Assist in managing a portfolio of companies, supporting tasks related to budgeting, cash flow, and financial reporting.
- Help prepare annual accounts in compliance with Lux GAAP, including supporting month-end and year-end processes and posting adjustments.
- Support the preparation and filing of tax and VAT returns, as well as regulatory reports (i.e. BCL reports), ensuring compliance
- Contribute to the review of legal documents to assist with financial reporting.
- Provide assistance in handling inquiries from auditors, clients, and tax authorities, and contribute to resolving internal accounting challenges.
- Support the preparation of budgets, cash flow statements, and financial forecasts by gathering necessary data and assisting in the financial analysis process.
- Assist in other finance-related tasks as needed.
Profile
- Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar field
- Experience in Luxembourg GAAP
- Experience in consolidation, VAT and tax could be advantageous
- Strong ability to handle various tasks with a proactive approach, demonstrating a willingness to take on challenging responsibilities and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to adapt quickly, prioritise tasks effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines efficiently.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is advantageous
