Our client is a well-established financial institution with a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees. It has experienced significant growth in recent years, a trend that continues to accelerate. They are looking for an experienced candidate to help develop their IT solutions and tools, ensuring these resources empower and strengthen their teams’ ability to make informed decisions in the financial sector.

Position

  • Play an active role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of Full-Stack solutions and data analysis tools customized for the specific requirements of financial sector supervision, while ensuring the cloud-ready quality of our system architecture (performance, robustness, scalability, maintenance, security, operability, and modularity).
  • Work closely with other tech leads to promote seamless and transparent communication, supporting informed decision-making and alignment of goals within the team.
  • Oversee and engage in the progress and maintenance of projects, identifying potential risks or issues, communicating them to colleagues and superiors, and proactively taking steps to resolve them when possible. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while adhering to project deadlines and budgets
  • Adhere to internal methodologies and Agile best practices to cultivate a collaborative, adaptable, and continuously improving team culture, allowing for swift responses to evolving regulatory requirements and market changes.
  • Continuously monitor performance indicators and surveillance tools to proactively identify and address issues, ensuring system stability and efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date hardware and software to ensure the team is utilizing the latest and most effective technologies, fostering enhanced productivity and innovation.
  • Ensure that all development practices are standardized and consistent to foster seamless collaboration among developers and uphold high code quality
  • Contribute innovative and constructive suggestions to enhance existing processes and identify new opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Show exceptional flexibility and availability to support the team’s needs, offering prompt and effective assistance in case of issues or urgent requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and records of architectural decisions to ensure traceability and consistency across the project.
  • Work closely with all other IT service divisions and participate in meetings with stakeholders (regulatory authorities, financial institutions, internal departments) as necessary to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and align them with surveillance objectives and strategic goals.
  • Play an active role in writing requirements for external projects, ensuring they are clear, detailed, and well-defined.
  • Manage the integration of solutions developed by external teams into our systems, ensuring seamless integration that aligns with our organization’s standards and requirements.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence within the teams by promoting the exploration of new technologies and methodologies to enhance surveillance capabilities, automate processes, and improve data-driven decision-making.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the financial sector to guide strategic planning, drive innovation, and sustain a competitive advantage in surveillance practices.
  • Offer ongoing support to team members by sharing knowledge and expertise to foster their professional and personal growth, providing regular feedback, coaching, and organizing opportunities for the development of technical skills.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading Full-Stack development teams, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Excellent project management skills with expertise in Agile methodologies and practices, especially within the context of compliance and the financial sector.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies, including statistical analysis, machine learning (ML), and data visualization techniques.
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.
