Operating for ICT-Telecoms, Digital & E-Commerce, Services, R&D and Industry, THE RECRUITER manages search assignments for all executive, managerial and operational functions. The firm is composed of a multilingual and experienced team of 9 employees. Our HR consulting activities have expanded with « Background Check », a digital platform — unique in Luxembourg — for collecting professional references. Our 100% digitized process makes it possible to verify the background of a candidate in compliance with GDPR. To meet more specific HR needs, we created HR Advisory whose purpose is to provide support and skills development solutions.
How is the job market doing? In September 2020, here in AGEFI, we hypothesized that the year 2021 was likely to be the marker of a professional transition for many people, and this prediction is being confirmed. Most employers have reopened many positions. Expert or specialist roles still constitute the largest volumes of positions offered, particularly in the IT sector but not only. Middle management roles, after several months of uncertainty in 2020, are again on the market. Several phenomena contribute to this trend. First of all, employers, particularly in the parapublic sector, are anticipating retirements and planning succession plans. Then, the issues of team management, with leadership at the center.
What lessons are to be learned from the crisis? Nothing is acquired and certainties in business do not exist. Work organizations have been shaken up, teams have been put under pressure, business plans have been severely tested. The agility of individuals and companies was necessary to deal with completely new human and managerial situations. One of the lessons is to always remain vigilant and flexible; the economic viability of any company can be called into question on a fast time scale. Vigilance, humility and agility are in our view the lessons that each company should draw from this period.
How is your business doing? Our team has 9 employees, which marks progress in line with the evolution of our services. We see a constant development of our HR consulting services. The famous war for talent, a concept in vogue for several decades, seems even more topical.
Have employers’ expectations evolved? Employers express more attachment to interpersonal skills. Beyond technical skills, everyone knows that success in a function is often more linked to human aspects than technical ones. Our behavioral analysis tools — DISC, HPTI, OPQ, MBTI — added to our professional expertise, allow us to guide, advise or accompany the company in its reflection and decisions in HR matters.
