Is outplacement still desired and necessary? In this period of labor shortage, the question of the relevance of outplacement naturally arises. My answer is unequivocal: yes, outplacement is more important than ever. Today, a person does not just want any job, but is looking for a specific job that suits them. It is important to support them in defining this ideal job.

Orientation and reorientation work. Professional orientation or reorientation is a personalized work. This is where I come in: advising a person individually, identifying their strengths, highlighting their uniqueness, and integrating all this into a personalized application strategy. Our advice is structured and methodical, using various tools and sometimes asking uncomfortable questions. Empathy, attentive listening and constructive challenge are essential to our approach. Each support has a reason, a different objective, and a different pace.

The importance of a thoughtful career choice. You may wonder what is important today, when some can choose their job on the market. This is an excellent question: it is crucial to think about the desired direction and the responsibilities to be taken. In counseling, appreciation and transparency are essential.

Autonomous decision-making. People who come to us do not expect to find a job immediately. They want to think about their career and make autonomous decisions about their new professional environment and a particular position.

A pragmatic approach. Our approach is very pragmatic. The first step is an analysis of the current situation: What do I want to do? What are my skills? What additional professional skills can I or should I acquire? Which ones do I want to continue using?

Understanding the labor market. It is also crucial to understand the demands of the local labor market: What prospects does it offer? In the cross-border region, in which country would I like to work? Should I venture into entrepreneurship? In short, it is about determining what is feasible and what one wishes to achieve. This is why outplacement can do more and remains relevant, even in times of labor shortage.
