IT AI Delivery Senior Manager (m/f)

Our client is an international retailer, historically based in Annecy, France, and a key contributor to the region’s economic ecosystem. As the company undergoes a major AI transformation, it is looking for an IT AI Delivery Senior Manager to lead the delivery and operationalisation of its AI strategy across IT.

This newly created senior leadership role reports directly to the IT Senior Director Digital Technologies and offers the opportunity to build a new AI organisation from the ground up, initially working with external partners before progressively developing the internal teams.

• Own AI delivery and the AI platform, from implementation through to production, ensuring reliability, scalability, cost control and compliance.
• Build and develop the teams, initially leading external consultants before progressively establishing the internal AI Platform and AI Enablement organisations.
• Drive AI adoption across IT through hands-on delivery, training and collaboration with technology teams.
• Set high delivery standards around AI quality, evaluation, observability, safety and performance.
• Partner with senior leadership to translate the AI strategy into effective technology delivery and operational capabilities.
• Manage external partners, budgets and resources to support the programme's priorities.

You have experience building and leading technical teams, ideally in a greenfield or rapidly evolving environment. You combine strong technical credibility with the leadership skills required to build an organisation and drive change.

You bring:

• Proven experience leading engineering, platform or technology delivery teams.
• Experience owning production platforms or services, with responsibility for availability, costs and operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies and AI-native delivery, ideally including agentic AI, LLMOps or ML infrastructure.
• Experience driving technology adoption and organisational change.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor and budget management skills.
• An AI-native mindset and genuine understanding of how AI can transform technology delivery.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluent English is required; French is a strong asset.
